Cirenas: transformative connections between people and the environment

As outdoor enthusiasts who film in and with nature on a regular basis, it is good for you to know that the company you produce with in Costa Rica, shares your concern for the planet and is taking steps to help preserve it for future generations as well.

At Film Support we are wanting to go to great lengths to not only be eco-friendly in our approach to the film business, but to also give something back to our planet. As we continue to adopt environmentally sound practices that help protect our Earth from harm, we are extremely proud and honored to support CIRENAS as they take radical and strategic steps to protect habitat, wilderness and biodiversity in Costa Rica.

With 2 miles of virgin coastline including 49,255 acres of protected marine area in Costa Rica, CIRENAS exists to create transformative connections between people and the environment through education, research, integration and innovation. Cirenas projects are focused on marine life conservation, with a 200 nest turtle nursery, the protection of the Caletas Ario Wildlife Reserve to protect the marine coastal habitat, mangroves, wildlife and flora, developing regenerative agriculture practices through permaculture, watershed management of the neighboring Ario & Bongo Rivers and integrating the community with educational initiatives. Cirenas invites students, volunteers, families, conscientious global citizens, researchers, retreats and interest groups to engage with CIRENAS' working model for sustainable development and environmental conservation - cultivating the skills, practices and knowledge base required to reduce humanity's heavy footprint on the Earth.
